New Year Motivation
So, I've gone a bit AWOL for some time.
I'd say there's a specific reason or that life got in the way, but in all honesty, I simply didn't feel like writing anything. I lost motivation to do anything with the blog.
Sometimes, like many other people, I myself struggle with motivation. I wonder, "Is anyone really reading this?" or "I'll just have a week or two off then get back on it". Well that week or two turned into a lot more than that!
I wouldn’t call it “Failure” that’s a pretty big word, but dropping the ball sometimes happens. And that’s not always a bad thing!
And occasionally, that's okay. I try not to give myself a hard time about it (not always easy). But I try to model how I am with my clients, by being kinder to myself too.
How is it for you? The person reading this? Do you struggle to be kind to yourself if you drop the ball a little? Or are you totally fine with it?
It's great if you know what motivates you, but also, what doesn't? Maybe you're someone who thrives on routine, or maybe you'd rather be more sporadic? I might have gone off routine for a bit, so these posts certainly might be more here and there rather than weekly!
Either way, I'm being gentle with myself about it, as you can be too. I'm sure if you forgot something, or didn't do that task, it'll be okay in the end. We can be more motivated to try if we're kinder to ourselves about it than not.
